Embracing the Present
Listen well, for I shall impart wisdom. The desire for affection, absent
the love of learning, leads to naivety. The pursuit of knowledge,
without a passion for learning, falls into conceit. The quest for truth,
lacking the love of learning, descends into harshness. The preference
for honesty, without a learning spirit, leads to coarseness. The
inclination for boldness, devoid of learning, becomes chaotic. The
admiration for power, without the guidance of learning, turns into
eccentricity.
